BODYGUARD PHOTOS

Hit-making director Siddique, who gave us blockbuster entertainers like Friends, Hitler and Chronic Bachelor, now returns to Malayalam after a gap. The last film he directed was the Tamil film Sadhu Mirandaa, with Prasanna, Kavya Madhavan and Abbas in the lead. Siddique makes his comeback to Malayalam with Bodyguard, teaming up with Dileep for the first time. Bodyguard, scripted by Siddique himself, tells the story of Jayakrishnan, a young guy with a very strange habit. Ever since his childhood he was attracted to anyone who showed a trace of heroism. There was a time when he adored cops for their heroism. And then when he grew up to find that there were crooks who could out do the cops, he started admiring them. Another strange thing about Jayakrishnan is that whenever he develops an admiration towards a person, he would prefer to move along with that person as sort of a bodyguard. It was thus that he started admiring Ashokan, a former liquor baron who is now a leading businessman and a very influential person. Jayakrishnan wants to be Ashokan's bodyguard, but the fact is that Ashokan doesn't need a bodyguard. But since Jayakrishnan approaches Ashokan with recommendation from someone he cannot refuse, he appoints Jayakrishnan as a bodyguard. As part of his new job, Jayakrishnan moves along with Ammu, Ashokan's daughter, as her bodyguard. Interesting things happen when Jayakrishnan accompanies Ammu to her college. What follows then forms the rest of the plot. While Dileep becomes Jayakrishnan, Nayantara makes a comeback to Malayalam after a gap of four years, playing the role of Ammu. Thyagarajan becomes Ashokan. The film also features in the cast debutante actress Mithra (real name Dalma). Bodyguard, like Siddique's earlier films, will have enough of humour, but is likely to be romantic too.

‘Film Star’ with Mani and Dileep

After the movie ‘Five Fingers’, director Sanjeev Raj is getting ready to start his new project in the title ‘Film Star’. A satire based on the lives of tinsel town and its effects on the commoner outside the movie world, ‘Film Star’ will feature Kalabhavan Mani as a multilingual movie star while Dileep will appear as Nandhagopan, an youth who is an ardent film lover. Scripted by S Suresh Babu, the movie will also feature Jagathy, Suraj, Salimkumar, Biju Menon, Cochin Haneefa and Biju Kuttan in key roles. Planned to start its shoot by the 15th of this December, the movie will be shot at Palakkad, Chennai and Hyderabad. ‘Film Star’ will be produced by Appu Pattathanam and Sanjeev Raj in the banner of Wide screen entertainments. Azhagappan, Sureshkollam and PC Mohanan will be in charge of various technical departments of the movie

Dileep as Home Minister

Remember Joshi's ‘Lion’? Well, the director is now gearing up to give its sequel. And this time too Dileep will be doing the lead. Not as a mere minister but a Home Minister. Rumours have it that Kavya might also be taken in.
The script for this one will be done by Uday Krishna and Sibi K Thomas.
Besides this Joshi has another sequel in mind. There is going to be second innings for Dileep starrer ‘Runway’ and it will be named 'Valayar Paramashivam'. Like the earlier one, the same beauty, Kavya, will take up the lead here too.
Looks like the trio will soon give a blast!

PAPPY APPACHA

‘Pappy Appacha’ for a remix

Dileep's new project titled as ‘Pappy Appacha’ will feature the famous funny song starting with the same lines. The original song which goes like ''Pappy........appacha ..............pappikku appachanodo, ammachiyodo kooduthal sneham'' was sung by later actor Adoor Bhasi in his own style for the movie ‘Mailadumkunnu’. This song will be remixed by Vidyasagar for this new film. ‘Pappy Appacha’, will have Dileep and Innocent, once again as father and son. The movie expected to start its shoot by December will be directed by debutante Mammas.

BODYGUARD ON DECEMBER 10th

‘Bodyguard’ by December 10th

Director Siddique's new movie ‘Bodyguard’ was originally planned for last Christmas. The movie which got delayed for one reason or other was then scheduled for last Vishu. But somehow the movie couldn't reach the theatres for that festival season. Now after a year from the original schedules, ‘Bodygurad’ starring Dileep and Nayantara will grace the theatres by the first week of December.
The movie which was recently rescheduled for this Christmas was preponed by three weeks as the producers Johnny Sagariga decided to play it safe avoiding the clash with biggies like Mammootty's ‘Chattambinaadu’, Mohanalal's ‘Ivide Swargamaanu’ and Vijay's ‘Vettaikkaran’. According to the reports, the ‘Bodyguard’ will finally release on the fourth of December in 100 screens, ensuring a free run for two weeks before the arrival of the biggies

DILEEP $ SATHAYARAJ

Sathyaraj starts in MALLUWOOD

Ace Tamil actor Sathyaraj has started shooting for his first movie in Mollywood. Titled ‘Aagathan’, the movie directed by veteran Kamal will also feature Dileep in an important role. Sathyaraj will appear in the role of Retired Army general Hareendra Varma in the movie. Interestingly, Sathyaraj had been in plenty of Tamil remakes from Malayalam in the past, including that of Aavanazhy, Vaartha, Raajavinte Makan, Chithram, and Kottaram Veettil Appottam. The actor was longing to be in a Malayalam film and was frequently called upon for many roles in the past. But he was able to find time only for this ‘Aagathan’ in the scripts of Kalavoor Ravikumar. Zarina Wahab will appear in the female lead to Sathyaraj in ‘Aagathan’, while Charmi will be heroine to Dileep.
Sathyaraj is continuing with his career of two decades in cinema, is presently working in four films in Tamil.

SWA LE : DILEEPYETTAN'S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Scriptwriter Kalavoor Ravikumar sites that what ‘Swa.Le’ told the public was an experience that he had when working for a small daily. ''The movie is all about the chaotic happening in the lives of pressman when they fight over to get the best exclusives and stories, risking their valuable personal life and time. I have added one incident that I really experienced, into this thread. Though I have given the movie an exaggerated satirical look, the first reports are that it is well received by Kerala audience, who always love good films made with a heart.'' says Kalavoor. The crew of the movie including the director P Sukumar were speaking to the press at Kochy associated with the promotion of the movie Swa.Le.
Kalavoor is presently engaged in scripting a movie titled ‘Sevens Football’ again with Dileep as the hero.
