" I didn't even dream of such a success. God is working so many miracles", says Dileep. However, watching movies has always been Dileep's favourite hobby. He never selects the movies to watch and is interested in all types and languages of films. As different movies have different moods all movies are good according to Dileep. However comedy and action movies are his favourites. However whether he watches the movie on television or in the theatre he never takes the trouble to study more of movie making. He has never participated in any film festival.

He enjoys watching the television too and says it is fun to keep surfing channels. However he complains of not having enough time for this pastime. He loves music too. "I do not know how to sing but I enjoy listening to music. Manju is a very good singer."

Favorite sports- Cricket and Football

Favorite Wardrobe - "Dhoti and shirt is what I am comfortable wearing and what I like wearing the most. From the time I started wearing dhoti, it has remained my most favourite dress." Says the new superstar of Malayalam, Dileep. "Among shirts I prefer cotton shirts. I experience a lot of freedom when wearing the dhoti and at home too I wear the same. The jubba is also okay; it is especially attractive when attending functions. I am not a very fashionable person and wear whatever I am comfortable in" he says.

Black, white, red and pink are the colours I like the most and I wear a ring and a chain regularly. The bracelet I wear only in movies. I like to wear a black thread with my chain. I wear shoes, sandals and slippers but am not particular about any brand or model.

I do not use any make up when going out anywhere except for this "kumkum" on my forehead which is a "prasad" from the Mookambikai temple. I do not give any special care or attention to my hair or body but cut my hair according to the character I play in the movie. Earlier I used to smoke cigarettes. It was a habit I cultivated during my mimicry days. However I have put a complete stop to it now
