Even though this film was scheduled for this 22, it was dicided to shift to avoid the clash with the other Dileep Movie ‘Body Guard’. As per the new agreement made between producers of these two films, Body Guard will be released by next week end while ‘Agathan’ will be an offering for valentine day week end. The three week difference will help both of them to manage to acceptable levels of box office success.

The Story : Agathan movie tells the story of retired Major General Hareendra Natha Varma (Sathyaraj) and Gautham Menon (Dileep) who is a software engineer. His father was Mukundan Menon, a bank employee working in Srinagar. His mother was Sujatha and sister Amritha. He lost his members of the family in a terrorist attack. During that period Major Hareendranatha Varma was on duty in Srinagar.
